Founded and inspired by the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, the social projects are aimed at the poor and needy in the areas of general health, treatable blindness, education, the welfare of destitute elderly and children, and the preservation of the Himalayan culture and tradition. Deeply moved and inspired by his vision, his monks and disciples continued the task of fulfilling his wishes after his parinirvana in 1992. The projects continue today in devotion to His Eminence the Fourth Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche who although still young in years is already involved in the social projects founded by the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche.
The projects described on this on-line resource site are the only activities officially approved by the Jamgon Kongtrul Labrang.
